Channel Management Solutions (CMS)

CMS is a Java-based solution that supports the following trading partner requirements:

• As a client, to exchange files with trading partners who operate their own FTP or HTTP servers
• As a server, to exchange files with trading partners who programmatically access your CMS FTP server
• As a server, to exchange files with trading partners who manually access your CMS website using a Web browser
• As a peer, to exchange files with trading partners who have also implemented the CMS applica­tion

The technical architecture of CMS provides the following benefits:

• Platform independence through the use of JAVA based development. CMS can run on almost any server: NT, Unix and more.
• Data transfer between different enterprise solutions. Your own proprietary formats can be made into CMS components, allowing for personalized extensions of both industry and KerridgeNC stan­dards.
• Eliminates the need for X.12 Translators and use of a VAN.
• Includes the ability to send and receive XML, Excel Spreadsheets, and flat files between trading partners in addition to support for B2B compliant X.12 documents.
• CMS is totally integrated with other KerridgeNC products, but is also available as a stand-alone sys­tem. Because CMS can stand alone, it can be used by your trading partners that do not have these capabilities, or do not have software vendors that can communicate in the standard formats.
